To singer/songwriter Joshua Kobak, the word Swim says it all. Having lost several people to drowning accidents throughout his life, to Joshua, "swim" means "to LIVE ...and exist within all vibrations, musical and otherwise". This concept has inspired Joshua to create a vast and organic sound that is all his own. Hailing from NYC, his talent and performance abilities are undeniable and plainly visible whether he faces the world solo, or with his band Swim. (read full bio)

Reviews

“Kobak exhibits a stunning vocal range”
-Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

“…One such rebirth was exhibited in the passionate endeavors of Joshua Kobak. Josh displayed in very intense versions of both "Last Goodbye" and "Kanga Roo", the lyrical honesty and picturesque presence of life in Buckley's songs. He sang from the depth of his soul, connecting every chord and word in soft, sensitive recurrences of Jeff's work. He was able to keep the same harmony and flow that Buckley did, while still spilling his own emotion through the music.”

“In a world mauled by pop’sploitation Joshua Kobak is an artist that restores my faith in the future of the industry, two thumbs up!”
-Frontstreet Magazine

“‘Above and Beneath’ was the first good album to hit my desk this past year, it came to me as fluke and now I can’t get it out of my stereo. Let the music play…”
-Carte Blanche

"Swim's first college performance turned out successfully. The band played with so much energy and passion."
-Marist College

"an excellent ensemble"
